Full Buycat Affiliate Program Terms of Service

These terms apply to all participants in the Buycat Affiliate Program (the "Program"). They explain how Boycat operates its Affiliate Program and the rules for participating. Please read these terms carefully before joining the Program. By joining or participating in the Program, you indicate your acceptance of these terms and agree to abide by them. You will be required to confirm your agreement when registering for the Program at boycat.io/vpn/affiliates.
BuycatVPN (the VPN service) and the Affiliate Program are operated by Boycat (the owner of BuycatVPN and all Buycat products). If you have any questions about these terms, you can reach us via email at support@boycat.io.
The Affiliate Program allows individuals or companies ("Affiliates") to earn referral commissions by referring new customers to our website to purchase Buycat products or services (for example, a subscription to BuycatVPN, hereafter a "Subscription"). A referral commission is earned when a new customer, referred by you, purchases a Subscription. The commission is considered valid once the customer's payment is received and the purchase is confirmed in our system.
By enrolling in and participating in our Affiliate Program, you confirm and agree to the following:
We may, at our sole discretion, review your website or promotional materials after you join the Program to ensure you comply with these terms. We also reserve the right to reject any affiliate application at our sole discretion for any reason (and we are not obligated to disclose the reason).
We have the right to suspend or close your affiliate account and block your use of our site if, in our opinion, you have violated any part of these terms. Your affiliate account is personal to you; if you attempt to transfer your account or allow another person to use it, we may suspend or terminate the account.
You are responsible for ensuring that anyone who uses your affiliate account (e.g. your staff or partners) is aware of and abides by these terms. You are also responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your username, password, and any other security credentials for your account. You must not share your login details with others and must prevent unauthorized access to your account.
By using our site and participating in the Program, you consent to our processing of your information as described in these terms, and you confirm that all data you provide to us is accurate and not misleading. If you provide us with contact details (such as email or phone number), you agree that we may use those details to contact you regarding your account or Program-related updates and notifications.
Nothing in these terms creates any partnership, joint venture, agency, franchise, sales representative, or employment relationship between you and Buycat. You are participating in the Program as an independent party. Except as expressly provided in these terms, you have no authority to act on our behalf, and you shall not hold yourself out as our agent or authorized representative.
You shall not make any statements, warranties, or representations concerning Buycat or our services that contradict the terms of our customer policies or that are beyond what we have expressly authorized. You have no right to bind us in any manner or incur any obligation on our behalf, unless we have provided explicit written permission for you to do so.
Once you are approved as an affiliate, you will gain access to an affiliate dashboard (provided through our affiliate platform powered by PromoteKit). In your dashboard, we provide the materials and unique tracking links you need to link to our website. These materials include HTML code for your affiliate links and a selection of approved banners/graphic assets to use in your promotions.
When using our provided links and banners, you must use the HTML code exactly as given in your affiliate dashboard without altering it. This code contains your unique affiliate ID to track referrals. Do not modify the code or any of the provided graphics. If the affiliate link code or banners are altered without our permission, sales may not be tracked correctly and you may not receive credit for those referrals. You also may not create or use your own banners or graphics to link to our site without our prior written approval; only use the official assets we provide.
We reserve the right to ask you to change or remove any affiliate link or promotional material from your website if we find it non-compliant or inappropriate. You are responsible for keeping all your links up-to-date and ensuring they point correctly to our website.
When a potential customer clicks on your affiliate link to our site, our system will place a tracking cookie on their computer or device. This cookie identifies them as having been referred by you. The cookie is valid for up to 30 days from the click. If that customer creates an account and makes a purchase on our site within those 30 days, the purchase will be tracked and attributed to you for commission purposes.
However, note that if the customer uses a different device or browser, or clears their cookies, or if more than 30 days have passed before they sign up, we may not be able to track that referral. In such cases – for example, if the cookie is missing, expired, or not present at the time of account creation – we will not be liable to pay a commission on that purchase. The tracking depends on the cookie and cannot function if the cookie is deleted or not present.
As an affiliate, you are welcome to display current pricing, discounts, or other information about Buycat’s products (such as subscription plans for BuycatVPN) on your website or marketing materials. It is your responsibility to ensure that any pricing or promotional information you display is accurate and up-to-date. While we may inform affiliates of upcoming price changes or promotions, we are not obligated to do so. You should regularly check our official website or affiliate newsletters for the latest pricing and offers.
Buycat reserves the right to change the pricing of any product or service at any time, according to our own pricing policies. Prices may change without prior notice. You must update any references to our pricing promptly after any change. We will not be held responsible for any consequences arising from outdated or inaccurate price information displayed on your site.
We will use our best efforts to process and fulfill all orders for Buycat products or services that are generated through your affiliate links. Once a referred customer lands on our site and decides to purchase, it becomes our responsibility to handle all aspects of the transaction. This includes processing the order, handling payment, provisioning the service (such as activating the VPN account), and providing any customer support thereafter.
Buycat reserves the right to reject any customer order that does not comply with our policies or terms of service. For example, if a prospective customer fails any of our fraud checks or violates our usage policies, their order may be declined. The decision to accept or reject an order is at our sole discretion.
For all completed sales, we will ensure that the customer receives the service or product they purchased in accordance with our customer Terms and Conditions. We handle all customer service inquiries, billing issues, cancellations, refunds, and technical support for those customers. As an affiliate, you are not expected or authorized to provide support to referred customers, and the customers will be informed that any post-purchase support will be provided directly by Buycat.
Once you have referred a customer and the customer's purchase is tracked and attributed to you, you generally have no further involvement with that customer's relationship with us. All aspects of the customer's account management are between the customer and Buycat.
Important: If a referred customer (or you) uses an email address that is already in our database (for instance, if the customer has previously registered with Buycat or you attempt to refer yourself), the system will not count that as a new referral. In other words, existing customers are not eligible for referral commissions, and self-referrals are not allowed. Any sale made to an email or account that already exists in our records will not be tracked or commissioned to any affiliate.
When promoting Buycat products using your affiliate links, you must adhere to high ethical standards. The following promotional methods are strictly prohibited:
buycatvpn-discounts.com or www.buycat-offers.org, etc., that might mislead users into thinking it's an official Buycat site. Similarly, do not create social media pages or groups that appear to be an official Buycat channel. Your affiliate promotions should clearly be by you as a third party, not passing off as an official Buycat resource.rel="nofollow" or rel="sponsored" attribute on the hyperlink to our site. This is required by Google's policies for links that are advertisements or paid referrals. rel="sponsored" or rel="nofollow" in all your affiliate hyperlink codes on your website. Failure to do so could not only affect your own site's search rankings but also violates our Program policies. We may request you to fix or remove non-compliant links.By adhering to the above rules, you help maintain the integrity and reputation of our Affiliate Program. If we determine that you have employed any disallowed promotional methods, we may withhold commissions and/or terminate your participation in the Program immediately.
As an affiliate, you will have access to reporting tools in your affiliate dashboard that allow you to track your referrals and commissions. The dashboard (accessible via our affiliate portal) will display reports of all Subscription sales generated through your affiliate links. We reserve the right to change the format, content, or availability of these reports at any time without notice, for example, if we update our affiliate platform or reporting system.
Commission Rates: Our standard commission rates and any special promotional rates are published on our affiliate information page (or have been communicated to you separately). These rates are subject to change at any time at our discretion. We may also change our product pricing at any time. While we will try to inform affiliates of significant changes to commission rates or pricing, we are not obligated to provide advance notice. It is your responsibility to stay updated on the current commission structure. If any changes are made, the new rates will apply to sales going forward (they will not apply retroactively to sales that occurred before the change).
Eligible Sales: We will pay you a referral commission on qualifying sales of Subscriptions that are directly generated by your affiliate links. A "qualifying sale" means: a new customer who was referred via your unique link, who is not already in our database, and who successfully purchases a Subscription (and keeps it past any refund period or initial guarantee period). Note that we do not pay commissions for purchases made through certain channels that we cannot track or attribute to affiliates. In particular, subscriptions purchased through third-party platforms or app stores (such as the Apple App Store, the Google Play Store, or through certain partner referral schemes) are not eligible for affiliate commissions, since those sales are attributed differently or we may not receive affiliate data for them. We also do not pay commissions on any add-on products or services a user might buy separately from the core subscription (for example, if we sell an optional add-on feature or product to the customer, that add-on purchase may not be commissioned).
Payment Method: You must select a preferred payment method for receiving your commissions in your affiliate account settings. We currently offer payments via PayPal and bank wire transfer (and possibly other methods as available on our platform). If you do not provide accurate payment details or choose a payment method, we have no obligation to send payment until you have done so. Our responsibility is to send payments using the payment information you provide; if that information is incorrect and a payment is lost or not received by you, we are not liable for those lost funds. Please ensure your payment details (such as your PayPal email or bank account information) are entered correctly and kept up-to-date.
Commission Payout Schedule: Our commission payout cycle is monthly. The default currency for payouts is U.S. Dollars (USD). Each commission cycle runs from the first day to the last day of a calendar month. Commissions for a given month are typically paid between the 15th and 20th of the following month, provided you have met the payout requirements.
In order to receive your payment for a given month's commissions, you may be required to request the payout through your dashboard. For example, if our system uses a manual request, you would need to click the "Request Payout" (or similar) button in your affiliate dashboard between the 1st and 10th day of the month to trigger the payment for the previous month. (This timeline ensures we have accounted for any refunds or chargebacks from the previous month's sales before releasing commission payments.) The affiliate dashboard will indicate if a request is needed and will only allow requests during the specified window. If you miss the request window for that month, those commissions may roll into the next cycle.
Minimum Payout Threshold: We require that your accrued commission balance reach a minimum amount before we pay out. The current minimum payout is $100 USD for PayPal payments and $500 USD for bank wire transfer payments. This means if your commission earnings are below the threshold, they will carry over to the next month until you accumulate at least the minimum amount for your chosen payout method. (These thresholds account for transaction fees and administrative costs.) We may adjust these minimum thresholds in the future, but any change will be communicated or reflected in the Program details.
When commissions are paid, any transaction fees (for example, PayPal fees or bank transfer fees) associated with sending you the payment will generally be deducted from your payout or otherwise borne by you as the affiliate. For instance, if we send a wire transfer, the bank fees will be subtracted from the amount we send, or if PayPal charges a fee to receive funds, that fee comes out of the commission on your side. We will send the full commission amount from our side, minus any such applicable fees as per the payment method.
Compliance Review Before Payment: Before releasing any commission payment, we reserve the right to review your account and your referral activities for compliance with these terms. If we find or suspect that you have violated any terms (for example, used disallowed promotional methods or engaged in fraud), we may withhold payment while we investigate, and we will have no obligation to pay commissions on referrals that we determine were obtained in violation of these terms. We also reserve the right to void or reclaim commissions that were earned from violating activities.
In cases where it is not immediately clear to us how you are promoting Buycat or attracting referrals (for example, if we observe an unusual spike in referrals or traffic from an unknown source), we may reach out and require you to provide additional information about your promotional methods or traffic sources before we issue any payouts. This is to ensure all referrals are legitimate and in compliance. Failure to provide truthful information or cooperation may result in commission payments being delayed or withheld and possibly termination of your affiliate account.
Chargebacks, Cancellations, and Refunds: Commission payments are based on completed sales that remain valid. If a referred customer's order is later refunded, cancelled, or results in a chargeback (for example, the customer disputes the charge with their bank or card and it is reversed), the commission for that transaction is forfeited and will not be paid to you. We apply this policy to ensure commissions are only paid on real, successful sales where Buycat actually retains the revenue. Our customer subscriptions may come with a money-back guarantee or refund period (as per our Refund Policy). If a customer you referred claims a refund within the allowed period, that sale is not commissionable.
If a commission was already credited to your account for a sale that is subsequently refunded or charged back, we reserve the right to deduct that commission from your pending balance or a future payment. For example, if you earned a $50 commission which we already paid out to you, and then the customer's payment was refunded, we might subtract $50 from your next payout to reconcile it.
We will follow our official Refund Policy (available on our website) when determining refunds to customers, and we have sole discretion to decide whether to issue a refund in special cases outside the policy. You agree that we have the final say in whether a commission is void due to a refunded or cancelled order.
Fraud and Abuse Monitoring: We actively monitor affiliate accounts for high rates of chargebacks, refunds, or other indicators of fraudulent activity. If your account shows an unusually high percentage of transactions that are refunded or charged-back, or if we suspect that your referrals are not bona fide or violate our terms, we reserve the right to impose additional restrictions on your account. Such restrictions may include suspending your affiliate account (temporarily or permanently) and withholding all pending commissions during our investigation. We may also retain such commissions to offset any losses or costs incurred due to chargebacks or fraud.
By joining the Program, you authorize us to share information (if necessary) with appropriate authorities or third parties in cases of suspected fraud or illegal activity by an affiliate. For instance, we may report fraudulent referrals or suspicious transactions to law enforcement, banks, payment processors, or other relevant organizations for further investigation. You agree to cooperate with any investigation into such activity. If we determine, in our sole judgment, that you have engaged in fraud, abuse, or any violation of these terms, any unpaid commissions in your account will be forfeited, and we may terminate your participation in the Program.
Unless otherwise indicated, Buycat (Boycat and its affiliated entities) is the sole owner of all intellectual property rights related to our website, products, and marketing materials. This includes, but is not limited to, all source code, text content, logos, graphics, images, videos, audio clips, designs, and any other creative materials on our site or provided to you for the Program. All such content is protected by intellectual property laws. Any rights not expressly granted to you in these terms are reserved by us.
We will also own any intellectual property rights in any future updates, enhancements, or modifications of our site or marketing assets. Simply put, all materials related to Buycat — past, present, and future — are our property.
By accepting you into the Affiliate Program, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable and royalty-free license to use Buycat's trademarks and approved marketing assets only as necessary to fulfill your obligations as an affiliate under these terms. Our trademarks include (but are not limited to) the names "Buycat", "BuycatVPN", and our associated logos and branding (collectively, the "Trademarks"). This license to use our Trademarks is provided solely for the purpose of identifying Buycat and our products in your promotional materials and creating the required affiliate links.
Your use of our Trademarks and materials is subject to the following conditions:
Requests and Approvals: If you wish to use our name, logo, or any content in a manner not explicitly allowed by these terms, you must obtain prior written permission from us. We evaluate such requests case-by-case and at our sole discretion. For example, if you want to create a unique promotional graphic featuring our logo, you should ask us first and get approval.
By participating in the Program, you acknowledge and agree that:
If your status as an affiliate ends (whether by termination or resignation), you must immediately cease using all of our Trademarks and proprietary materials, and remove them from your site. We reserve the right to take legal action against any misuse of our intellectual property.
Indemnification: By joining the Affiliate Program, you agree to indemnify and hold Buycat (and its owners, affiliates, and employees) harmless from and against any and all claims, liabilities, losses, damages, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to your participation in the Program. In particular, you agree to fully indemnify us for:
In summary, you agree that if a third party makes a claim against Buycat because of something you did in violation of these terms or the law, you will cover any costs and losses we incur as a result.
No Indirect Damages: To the fullest extent permitted by law, Buycat (including our parent company, officers, directors, employees, and agents) will not be liable to you for any indirect, consequential, special, or incidental damages arising out of this Agreement or the Affiliate Program. This limitation applies even if such damages were foreseeable or if we were advised of the possibility of such damages. Examples of indirect or consequential damages include (but are not limited to) lost profits or revenue you might have earned, loss of business opportunities, damage to reputation or goodwill, lost or corrupted data, or costs of procuring substitute services.
Limitation of Liability: Additionally, our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to this Affiliate Agreement or the Program will not exceed the total amount of commissions paid or payable to you under this Agreement in the 12 months immediately preceding the claim (or, if no commissions have been paid yet, an amount of USD $50). If you have purchased any product or service from Buycat as a user, and your claim relates to that usage, then our liability would alternatively be limited to the amount you paid us for that product or service. This limitation is cumulative – meaning it applies to the total of all claims in that period, not per incident.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation may not apply to you in its entirety. However, in such jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the greatest extent permitted by law.
Release: You acknowledge that the Affiliate Program is provided "as is" and we make no warranties or guarantees of any kind (express or implied) with respect to the Program or your potential to earn income. We do not guarantee that the operation of our website or affiliate links will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we will not be liable for any consequences of interruptions or errors.
Term of the Agreement: This Affiliate Agreement begins once we notify you that your affiliate application has been approved. The Agreement will remain in effect until terminated by either party as outlined below. By "term," we mean the duration in which you are officially an affiliate bound by these terms.
Termination by You: You may terminate this Agreement at any time by providing written notice to us (for example, via email to our affiliate support contact). Upon termination, you should cease using our affiliate links and remove any Buycat promotional materials from your site.
Termination by Buycat: Similarly, Buycat may terminate this Agreement (and your participation in the Program) at any time, for any reason, by providing notice to you. Notice from either party via email is considered sufficient written notice for termination, and termination will be effective immediately upon sending such notice (unless a later date is specified in the notice).
In addition, Buycat reserves the right to terminate your affiliate account immediately, without prior notice if we determine (in our sole discretion) that any of the following have occurred:
When this Agreement is terminated (whether by you or by us), you must immediately stop using any and all of our affiliate links, and you must remove any banners, logos, or other marketing materials provided by us or referring to Buycat from your site. Any rights and licenses given to you in this Agreement will end right away. If termination is due to your breach of these terms or misconduct, we may withhold any unpaid commissions as of the termination date (and you will forfeit them). In other cases of termination, any valid commissions earned up to the termination date will typically be paid on the next payment cycle, provided the amount meets the threshold and the referrals were legitimate.
After termination, sections or clauses of this Agreement which by their nature should survive (such as indemnification, limitations of liability, governing law, etc.) will continue to be in effect.
In order to administer the Affiliate Program, we will collect and process certain personal information about you (if you are an individual) or your personnel (if you are an organization). By joining the Program, you acknowledge and agree that we may use and process your personal information for the following purposes:
Our use of your personal information will be carried out in accordance with applicable data protection laws and our general Privacy Policy (which covers how we handle user data). By providing your personal data to us and participating in the Program, you consent to the collection and use of this information as described.
We may need to share your information with third parties for the above purposes. You authorize Buycat to disclose your personal information to relevant third parties such as:
You agree to cooperate with us fully in any investigation concerning misuse of the Program or fraudulent activity. This may include providing additional identity documents or information upon request, or assisting in clarifying transactions or referral sources if needed.
For more details on how we handle personal information, please refer to our Privacy Policy on our website. If you have questions or requests regarding your personal data (such as accessing or deleting your data), you can contact us, and we will address them in accordance with applicable law.
Communication and Notices: This Agreement is provided in English, and all communications between you and Buycat shall be in English (unless we explicitly offer support in other languages). You agree that the primary means of communication with us will be electronic. We will generally contact you via the email address associated with your affiliate account, or via notices within the affiliate dashboard. You consent to receive communications from us in electronic form, and agree that all terms, conditions, notices, or other communications we provide electronically satisfy any legal requirement that such communications be in writing.
If we need to send you an official notice (for example, notice of termination or a change in terms), we will do so via email to the latest email address you provided, or via a notification in your affiliate account. You are responsible for keeping your contact information up-to-date. Communications are deemed received by you upon sending to your email or posting to your account, whichever applies.
If you need to send an official notice to us (for example, to terminate this Agreement), you should do so by emailing the designated affiliate support address or by postal mail to our business address, if provided. (We will supply an appropriate contact method in the affiliate dashboard or welcome emails.)
Entire Agreement: This Agreement (including any documents, schedules, or policies referenced herein or provided to you within the affiliate dashboard) constitutes the entire agreement between you and Buycat regarding the Affiliate Program. It supersedes all prior agreements, understandings, or communications (whether oral or written) regarding the Program or your ability to earn commissions by referring customers. You acknowledge that you are not relying on any representation or promise that isn't explicitly stated in this Agreement. Any amendments or additions to this Agreement are only binding if made in writing and signed or acknowledged by an authorized representative of Buycat (this includes updates of these terms posted by Buycat, as described in the Changes section below).
Amendments and Waivers: Except as otherwise stated in the "Changes to Terms" section, no modification of these terms by you will be valid unless agreed to in writing by us. Our failure at any time to enforce any provision of these terms or to require performance by you of any provision shall not affect our full right to enforce that provision at a later time, nor shall it be considered a waiver of any of our rights. Similarly, any waiver of a breach of any provision of this Agreement will not be considered a waiver of any later breach of the same or any other provision. For example, if we choose not to strictly enforce the spam policy one time, it doesn't mean we give up our right to enforce it in the future or in other instances.
Severability: If any provision of this Agreement is held to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, that provision shall be removed or limited to the minimum extent necessary, and the remainder of the Agreement will remain in full force and effect. In other words, even if one clause is void, the rest of these terms still apply.
Assignment: You may not assign or transfer this Agreement or any of your rights or obligations under it to any other party without our prior written consent. For instance, you cannot sell or give your affiliate account to someone else, or delegate your obligations to another person, without permission. Buycat may assign or transfer this Agreement (or any rights/obligations under it) to any affiliate or successor as we see fit, and may also subcontract performance to third parties, without the need to obtain your consent. This might occur, for example, if Buycat is acquired by another company or if we outsource program administration to another entity. This Agreement will be binding on and inure to the benefit of any successors or assigns of either party as permitted here.
Relationship of Parties: You and Buycat are independent contractors, and nothing in this Agreement creates any partnership, franchise, joint venture, agency, or employment relationship. You have no authority to bind Buycat or to make any commitments on our behalf, and vice versa.
Limitations on Legal Actions: To the extent permitted by law, any cause of action or claim you may have arising out of or relating to this Agreement or the Program must be commenced within one (1) year after the cause of action accrues; otherwise, such cause of action is permanently barred. (This clause may not apply in certain jurisdictions that prohibit such time limitations.)
Governing Law and Dispute Resolution: This Agreement, and any dispute or claim (including non-contractual disputes or claims) arising out of or in connection with it or your participation in the Affiliate Program, shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction where Buycat is organized (and primarily operates). For example, if Boycat (the operator of BuycatVPN) is registered in and operating from Country X, then the laws of Country X will govern this Agreement.
Furthermore, any disputes arising between us that we cannot resolve amicably shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of that jurisdiction (using the example above, the courts of Country X). You and we each irrevocably consent to the jurisdiction of such courts and waive any objections based on venue or inconvenient forum, to the extent permitted by law. This means if there's a serious dispute, it will be heard in the courts of our jurisdiction, and not elsewhere, except that Buycat retains the right to enforce any judgment or seek interim relief (such as an injunction) in any court of competent authority if necessary.
Please note that nothing in this section prevents either party from seeking injunctive or equitable relief in an appropriate jurisdiction if needed to prevent actual or threatened violations of confidentiality or intellectual property rights.
Limited Liability: In no event shall Buycat (or its parent, subsidiaries, officers, directors, employees, or agents) be liable to you under this Agreement for any special, consequential, incidental, indirect, or punitive damages, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. This exclusion includes any losses or damages for lost profits or revenue, lost data, loss of privacy or security, damage to reputation, or claims by third parties, arising out of or in connection with your participation in the Affiliate Program or use of our services. Some examples: we are not liable for your costs if our site downtime causes you to lose advertising money, or if a tracking error causes a commission discrepancy (beyond paying the actual owed commission), or if any technical issue causes loss of data on your side.
Our maximum aggregate liability arising out of this Agreement will not exceed the total commissions paid to you by Buycat in the twelve (12) months immediately prior to the event giving rise to the liability. If no commissions have been paid yet, our liability shall be limited to $50 USD. This limitation applies regardless of the cause of action (whether in contract, tort, negligence, strict liability, or any other legal theory).
The limitations and exclusions of liability in this section will apply to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, and they form an essential part of the bargain between us (we would not be able to operate the Affiliate Program on these terms without such protections).
Important Note: Buycat may update or revise these Affiliate Program Terms at any time. The most current version of the Terms will always be made available on our website (for example, via the affiliates section or a terms page).
